Hallgrimskirkja
Hello Friends,
Per Wikipedia, ... "Hallgrímskirkja (Icelandic pronunciation: hatl-krims-c-r-ca, Church of Hallgrímur) is a Protestant Lutheran (Church of Iceland) parish church in Reykjavík, Iceland. At 74.5 metres (244 ft) tall, it is the largest church in Iceland and second tallest building in the country. Known for its distinctively curved spire and side wings, it has been described as having become an important symbol for Iceland's national identity since its completion in 1986. The church is named after the Icelandic poet and cleric Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614–1674), author of the Passion Hymns."
The image below is of the amazing pipe organ on the wall of the church.
I took these shots with my Google Pixel 9 Pro cellphone cha-cha style (take a left eye shot, move over a few feet, take the right eye shot), auto-aligned it in StereoPhoto Maker and improved them a bit in PhotoShop.
We are in Iceland, specifically Reykjavík, since arriving yesterday. Tomorrow we will get a rental car and start driving the "Golden Circle", a loop circumnavigating the island. Many photos to come I'm sure.
It's been another shameful week for the Trump administration, but I'm not going into it today, trying to focus on the wonders of Iceland.
Best regards,
Barry Rothstein
