Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge
Hello Friends,
I attended the National Stereoscopic Association's 2025 convention in Minneapolis this past August. Situated adjacent to our hotel was the entrance of the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, near the airport. Next time you have a few hours or a day in Minneapolis, you might do best to skip the Mall of America and hike the refuge. These two are a couple of shots I took there.
I'm not sure what the pink flowers are with the bumblebee in the upper shot. I'd be happy to hear from someone who knows. In the lower shot the plants were identified as Burdock. I took these shots with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 camera with 3D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing. I'd have to say the bugs that day were nicely cooperative as models.
Today featured thousands of No Kings protests attracting millions of us across the country. Ours was along Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, a mile plus string of thousands of us, standing on a bluff overlooking the ocean, dancing and waving to passing cars. I hope you too attended one somewhere, and if so write back, I'd be glad to share a few photos.
According to Trump and his crowd we are mainly America hating Satan followers, paid to be there by George Soros. In fact it was a great time and a show of strength and committment from so many of my friends and neighbors.
In case you missed last week's email, good news: a few months ago I discovered I was about out of my first kids book Pop-Up 3D, which was both gratifying and sad, so recently I looked into re-printing.
As such I'm proud to announce Pop-Up 3D 2nd Edition. It's still the perfect 3D book for kids 3-99, re-written a bit and with some fun new images.
To celebrate this new edition, buy any book on my website (Pop-Up 3D, Phantograms from Nature, Macrophant 3D, or Crossview 3D) ...
... for just $12. Use Promo Code: 12 to get that price. Valid until the end of 2025 at https://3ddigitalphoto.com/books.asp
