Petra's Flowers

Hello Friends,

Last week's image-of-the-week photos were phantograms of stones from Iceland I photographed at Petra's Stone Collection https://steinapetra.is/en. In addition to thousands of exotic local stones the grounds there also have many beautiful and exotic flowers. Here are two of them I photographed with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3D lens using frame sides for phantogram processing. Due to their colors I've provided them as "dubois" anaglyphs.

According to searches with Google lens, the top image is Pulmonaria, a shade-loving hardy perennial commonly known as lungwort, and the bottom image is Bergenia crassifolia, a hardy evergreen perennial commonly known as Siberian Bergenia, Pigsqueak, or Elephant's Ears.

I won't do a deep dive into politics this week. It's interesting that Todd Blanche's nomination to be our attorney general was at least for now aborted by two republican senators on the judiciary committee who'd already lost their re-election primaries because of Trump endorsing their opponents. These senators held back voting for Blanche based on Blanche's unwillingness to kill Trump's bogus IRS settlement in writing. It would've been far more satisfying if a great number of republican senators would've opposed Blanche on the basis of him being Trump's personal lawyer and his stooge, and entirely unqualified for the job, but I guess we need to take our successes however they may come for now.
