Foxglove

Hello Friends,

Looking to me like an orchid, Google Lens instead identified this flower as "a foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), specifically a white or cream-colored cultivar like 'Camelot Cream' or 'Dalmatian White'". This was another local garden tour shot, taken with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing.

I attended the No Kings protest yesterday at Bixby Park in Long Beach, a smaller gathering than the previous one a few months ago but no less enthusiastic. I carried my Trump mask sign in one hand, my dog's leash in the other, so didn't take pictures, sorry. The theme was promoting early voting.

It's been a rough couple of years for those of us who grew up cherishing democracy, free speech and equality, with another rough two years to go until the Trump administration departs, kicking and screaming no doubt.

Wishing for better,

Barry Rothstein
