Chickens Coming Home to Roost
Hello Friends,
I took this shot at a local home garden tour a few months ago with my Fuji W3 3-D camera, and worked it into a phantogram using StereoPhoto Maker and Photoshop.
Per an online search ... "The idiom 'chickens come home to roost' means that a person's past bad actions, mistakes, or wrongdoings eventually catch up with them, resulting in negative consequences or accountability." A fitting thought for this week. Like most of you reading this I'm still basking in the afterglow of Tuesday's midterm election, in which Trump and MAGA were thoroughly trounced. It's well past time that a significant majority of Americans should have come to understand the toxicity and ineptitude of Trump and his minions and vote them out.
We still have over two years with Trump still occupying the White House, so it's not like the era is over, but even so, who in their right mind would've expected such stunning results. Capping them for me is that even Mississippi will be sending a new democratic senator to Washington D.C. I'd like to think that Hegseth as Defense Secretary (or Secretary or War, as he likes to call himself) and RFK Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services will soon be gone, but not without kicking and screaming on their way out. One bad sign is that Steven Miller, the architect and head cheerleader of Trump's hellacious immigration policy is moving up to be his Chief of Staff.
So for the moment not as much wishing for better, but instead ...
Happily,
Barry Rothstein
