Fantastic Cactus Blossom
Hi All,
I spotted this on one of my neighborhood walks and saw a like plant one more time. I'd appreciate anyone out there letting me know what kind of cactus produces such an amazing blossom. I took this show with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 macro camera with a 3-D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing. The overall width of this image was approximately 2 inches.
I hope you're all faring well in the age of the novel coronavirus. Our limited ability to interact and congregate is strange but becoming strangely normal. I'm seeing not quite so many smiles and eye contact on the streets as at first, but for the most part we're holding up pretty well.
New milestone this week, over 50,000 Americans dead. How many of those would be alive today and beyond if but for the total ineptitude of our current administration?
What we're left with is the knowledge that somehow we'll get through this in spite of a president who must be treated like a baby to avoid invoking his tantrums and wrath against those willing to spread hard truths instead of happy lies. This situation is unthinkable, preposterous, revolting and intolerable, and yet here we are.
