Horsesh*t
Hi All,
I shot this at a sunny moment on a rugged windswept beach in Bandon, Oregon. The subject of the shot was left by passing equestrians. Dog people are expected to pick up, but apparently not horse people. In fairness it was in the tide zone, so soon would be washed away by ocean waves, and I'm sure it's not as much fun riding horses on the beach if you have to dismount every time your horse lays one down.
This was shot with a Fuji W3, using frame sides around the image's subject for phantogram processing, but careful not to let them touch. I apologize for the blatant offensiveness of this image, especially during the holiday season, and I you promise something more attractive next week.
In the news:
Donald J. Trump this week became the third U.S. president ever to be impeached. And so I ask, should we be satisfied or even ecstatic that House democrats found the guts to take a stand to hold him responsible for his actions, or rather, should we be outraged at the unanimous sucking up, pandering, and sniveling by House republicans? They must really love that guy, or really fear him.
House republicans are arguably very bright people, albeit mostly white, well fed, and almost entirely men. They capably raised money, and got elected to high office. Most to all of them claim to have received enough religious training to understand basic right from wrong, so despite their fears amd self serving pronouncements to the contrary, they know that what Trump did and continues to do is wrong. Unmistakably, irrefutably wrong.
So while I'm grateful for the dem's perhaps quixotic action, I choose outrage. I think we're all numb from the overly repeated telling, re-telling and re-hashing of evidence of Trump's abuse of office, but even more so from the mournful, hair-pulling, heart rending cries of injustice from Trump's republican defenders. These guys make an art form of hypocrisy.
I have one word for congressmen Devin Nunez, Jim Jordan, and Doug Collins and that gang regarding their defense of Trump during his impeachment.
I have one word for senators Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell regarding how they say they intend to handle the Senate impeachment trial.
I have one word for Fox News.
On a side note if you happen to be walking my Long Beach neighborhood in the early afternoon today, I'll be offering my books at the Page for the Machine bookstore on 4th Street for your choice of donation, all money going to the Long Beach Rescue Mission.
