Mushroom Season
Hello Friends,
We recently hiked in Red Rock Canyon in the Topanga Canyon area. In January you don't get many interesting photo subjects compared to the spring or fall, but I did manage to find these mushrooms along the path. I shot these with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3-D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing.
I love mushrooms as great 3-D subjects, but I can't say that I know mushrooms well enough to dare to eat any I find in the wild. It's been raining a lot lately, so this coming week I'll make my annual pilgrimage to the El Dorado Park Nature Center, where Betsy used to work, to go in search of good mushroom shots. If I'm lucky I'll come home covered in mud with several good images to work.
Best regards,
Barry Rothstein
