Avocado Blossom
Hi All,
While not suited for great anaglyph, I thought you might enjoy seeing what infant avocados look like. Each of the numerous round protusions on this shot has the potential to become a nice big delicious avocado. Our tree is perhaps 30 to 40 feet tall, and has thousands of such blossoms, which may lead you to think of a bumper crop. Sadly in a few weeks when they start to take shape, squirrels will ascend the tree, pop them in their mouths, take a single bite and spit them out. Standing underneath they rain down on you. The few they miss may become full size avocados.
I took this shot with a Panasonic Lumix G7 with 3-D lens, frame sides for phantogram processing and a black felt backdrop.
Regarding my book / fundraising efforts, I'm happy to report that several local stores are carrying them, and an increasing number of books have sold.
