What I'd Like to See Happen

I recently returned to a cactus plant I shot several months and named "Desert Outpost" in our new book Macrophant 3D. This is the edible fruit of a cholla cactus, an excellent 3-D subject in my estimation. I shot it with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3-D lens and frame sides for phantogram processing. The overall width of this image is a little over two inches.

Much has been written in the past week about the republicans dealing with their post-Trump ongoing identity crisis. They've been a party of shameless opportunism the past four years and well beyond. Are they still the party of limiting government's reach, or have they been entirely taken over but the lunatic fringe of bizarre conspiracy theories? Are they better represented by Liz Cheney, an ultra-conservative who took a principled stance against Trump's culpability, or Marjorie Green, the gun toting Qanon Trump supporter.

This coming week the Senate will host Trump's second impeachment trial. Before the final vote I'd like to see Mitch McConnell and several other Senate republicans stand up in the Senate and say they're voting to convict Trump, and suggest their colleagues to search their consciences and vote accordingly. I'm not holding my breath.

In the meantime Biden's been doing all the right things. The pandemic's still on us, but hopefully help is on the way.
