Prickly Pear
Hi All,
I like this shot of a prickly pear cactus, and despite the sharp thorns, the "pears" are indeed edible along with the leaves, flowers, and stems. They're not considered a "super-food" but are considered quite healthy to eat.
I shot it with a Fuji W3 with frame sides for phantogram processing. One interesting feature is that despite its fruit being a dark shade of red, it still works fairly well in anaglyph 3-D. Try alternately opening and closing your eyes, and you'll see fairly considerable retinal rivalry in terms of what color the fruit appears through anaglyph glasses.
