Pepper and the Baby Squirrel

Hi All,

Yesterday afternoon we found an unmoving, still breathing baby squirrel by our front gate, most likely fallen from a tall palm tree. We tried to make it comfortable in a box, put it in the side yard where it wouldn't be disturbed, and see what might happen.

This morning it was still alive, and took in some nourishment from a large plastic syringe. Pepper, who like most dogs loves to chase squirrels, was curious and sympathetic as our neighbor Ginny and Betsy nursed it. I suspect it may live.
