Jenny Get Your Guns
Hi All,
Say hi to Jennifer Van Patten, a friend for some time, and local southern California model, actress and founder of "The Gallery Girls." I took this shot a few years ago with a pair of Sony R1 cameras and a special mounting bar to hold them together and a Lanc Shepherd to synchronize the cameras. I also used frame a horizontal bar over Jennifer's head and suspended vertical bars so as to create a rectangle to form the stereo window and processed as I do my other phantograms.
A phantogram more or less by definition requires that the rectangular frame sides that define its stereo window be at an angle to the camera, and not straight on, but I'm so much enamoured by the results one gets from reversing out the effects of perspective that in several instances I've used frame sides when shooting straight on and cropped to them as in other phantograms I do.
Most likely I'm the only one who does this, and maybe my efforts are meaningless, but I think there's something magical about defining a window and cropping to it. I'd welcome any comments from the 3-D community about this.
