Acorns on Mount Tsukuba
Hello Friends,
It's early morning on Sunday in Japan, but mid-afternoon on Saturday back home in California. It'll be time to get going soon, grab a nice buffet breakfast at our hotel, then on to the conference center for the second to last day of the International Stereoscopic Union World Congress. I'm scheduled to display and sell books in the trade fair, give a workshop on making macro phantograms this afternoon, and tonight my show on Macros from Costa Rica will play in the "stereo theatre". It's been a fun week of sightseeing, camaraderie and 3-D, despite the heat and humidity.
On Thursday many of us loaded onto a bus to hike on Mount Tsukuba. There I found nice distant hazy views, a number of reddish mushrooms, a cool poisonous caterpillar and these acorns to photograph.
Regards,
Barry Rothstein
