Crocus by Dennis Weins
Hi All,
Dennis Weins scored the highest in the Nature category of my '2012 Intergalactic Phantogram Competition'. Check out the results at
http://www.3ddigitalphoto.com/phantshow.asp.
There's so much to like about this shot, so many places to look. Phantograms of nature benefit from intricate backdrops of terrain and life specimens. The crocus petals are well defined despite some retinal rivalry, and the shimery hairs running up their stalks are truly captivating. Congrats Dennis!
Mini-Maker faire today in Irvine was fun. A tiny event compared to the regular San Mateo fest, it accomplished the same spirit and enthusiasm. Maker Faire is a convergence of bright people and kids who make cool things, and bright people with their kids who want to see cool things and learn how to make them.
DANGER: Unless you're already registered, you're in danger of missing the National Stereoscopic Association's national convention this year is local to Costa Mesa, California from July 25-30. On 7/26 at 2 p.m. I'll be teaching a phantogram workshop there.
I'm also planning on exhibiting at Maker Faire in New York this September. If you think you'll be coming, please let me know.

I send out a weekly email of these. If you'd like to be included, please go to the contact page and send me an email.
