Interesting Tree at San Simeon Beach
Hi All,
A few weeks ago following 3-D Con in Irvine Betsy and I had the absolute pleasure of driving north with Japanese stereographers Takashi Sekitani and Masuji Suto for four days. We stayed in Cayucos and toured the area from Morro Bay to a little north of San Simeon. Up there we were joined by Abe Perlstein. The bunch of us formed an interesting group of 3-D crazies.
To those of you heading that way, I'd strongly recommend the beach park straight across from the entrance to Hearst Castle. From its parking lot walk north along the beach and up a path that will take you out to a sensational point overlooking the ocean, an outstanding and fairly simple hike.
We picnicked near the parking lot, where I found this tree. It's fruit resembles pitted olives, but it must be something else. If anyone can tell me what kind of tree this is I'd appreciate it.
This was shot with a Fujifilm W3 using frame sides for phantogram processing.
