Succulent "Rose Moss"
Hello Friends,
This is a succulent that grows in our front yard and plenty of other places in the neighborhood. Having searched with the phone app Plant Net, I believe it's Portulaca grandiflora. According to Wikipedia they're native to Argentina, southern Brazil, and Uruguay and often cultivated in gardens. It has many common names, including rose moss, eleven o'clock, Mexican rose, moss rose, sun rose, rock rose, and moss-rose purslane.
It's problematic in anaglyph due to the amount of red in its flower, so in this case I opted for a "dubois" anaglyph in StereoPhoto Maker. As with most of my macro images these days, it was shot with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3-D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing.
Best regards,
Barry Rothstein
