Jade Vine
Hi All,
This is strongylodon macrobotrys. According to Wikipedia they're commonly known as jade vine, emerald vine, or turquoise jade vine. A native of the Philippines, their stems that can reach up to 18 meters in length. They're is pollinated by birds and bats. We found a few varieties at Sadie Seymour Botanical Gardens on the Kona side of the big island of Hawaii.
This plant was in the shade hanging from a trellis above. I shot this with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 camera with a 3-D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing. The actual size of this image is approximately 3" wide by 4" tall. It's a bit of a challenge to view with red-cyan 3-D glasses because its colors contain a lot of the blue-green of the right-eye lens.
