The Soul of America
Hi All,
Say hi to Leo, a member of the neighborhood pack, but soon headed to Boston. We will miss him. I shot this with a Fuji W3 and approximated it into a phantogram.
I started to write a bit about the strength of our society based on the many cultures that have come together here, but it's all been said, and mostly I think I'm preaching to the choir.
More to the point, our country is facing its greatest existential challenge. Can the America we know continue to be and thrive ...
... if we allow bigotry and white nationalism as acceptable social and political forces;
... if we insist on clinging to polluting technologies of the past;
... if we ignore significant changes in our biosphere and fail to take responsibility for our part in creating them;
... if we maintain our authority by preventing non-whites from voting;
... if we accept lies as OK and normal, to be spoken and repeated without cost;
... if we fail to cherish and protect a free press;
... if we don't respect women as equals
An indication of our direction will present itself on Tuesday with the midterm election. Please vote and encourage others to do so.
