David Tank Display
Hi All,
Today's image is of a display produced by Wisconsin stereographer David Tank. David produced the anaglyph (although not phantogram) book "Wildflowers of Wisconsin", and you can find it at http://www.planertcreekpress.com/3dwildflowers/index.htm.
According to David, "... I had a booth at an area art fair this weekend (first time I've tried that). To add extra interest, I created 8 phantograms and had them on a table, mixed in with actual objects ... The response was fantastic!" David photographed the tabletop display from an angle and sent me an anaglyph image of it. I asked for the original left and rights of that shot and he complied.
As such, and with his permission, the image before you is a phantogram of his phantogram display. Phantograms are an attempt at precisely imitating normal vision. As such you can photograph them, apply the same rules to processing them, and despite some "second generation" loss, they will pop. David and I invite you to print it out so you can see it back from an angle.
I send out a weekly email of these. If you'd like to be included, please go to the contact page and send me an email.
