Winston - A Corgi (and a rant)

Hi All,

This is Winston, a Corgi we occasionally see when walking in the neighborhood. This image was shot with a Fuji W3 and approximated into a phantogram by matching blades of grass in the right and left images to make up the "reference frame".

The rant:

Despite the idiocy and corruption coming out of the White House, this past week's news leaves me feeling hopeful. Clearly we are facing a national emergency, and that emergency is Mr. Trump, his co-conspirators and enablers.

Mr. Manafort, I hope you'll enjoy your new taxpayer subsidized rent free home for the rest of your life. Monotony might be an excellent environment for reflection. Mr. Stone, I hope you'll be keeping company with Mr. Manafort soon.

Mr. Putin, and various oligarchs, congratulations for your historic achievement of getting your man Trump elected President of the United States. But I can't help but think you've overplayed your hand. Considering all you've done in relatively plain sight, laughing all the way, more than a few of us have noticed. So Make America Great Again was really Make Russia Great Again. Who'd have thought that?

Mr. Trump, your time is coming. For now it's delayed by pandering from Fox News, whatever semblance of deniability you can still muster, and the cover Mr. Mcconnell chooses to provide you, ... for now.

Strange to say, but I actually believe that our long standing passion for freedom and our desire to keep it is strong enough to get us through this challenge. I believe that Trump won't be in power here long, that in 2020 Republicans will lose control of the Senate and White House, and that Putin has made it the duty of every patriotic US citizen to demand we sanction the absolute crap out of Russia, until its people rise up and demand better of its leadership.

And to all the Trumpees out there: wake up and stop playing their game. It's all right in front of you if you're willing to open your eyes and look. Your boy sold out to Putin bigtime and lied and lied and lied to you about it. He did it for money and power, and for some time Putin has owned him. Mr. Trump plays on your love of country and bets that you're endlessly gullible. If Trump and his people working directly with Russia and Putin to win the presidency is OK with you, then exactly what kind of patriot do you claim to be?
