Inside the Petals of a Magnolia Blossom
Hello Friends,
I'm fortunate to live in a city where I'll frequently find magnolia trees as I walk. Their huge white blossoms are a marvel, as are their seed pods. One I shot a few years ago is at http://3ddigitalphoto.com/ImageofTheWeek.asp?week=05-30-2020, and was one of my favorite shots in my most recent book, Macrophant 3D. Usually the magnolia tree blossoms are too high up to reach, so when I find them reasonaby low to the ground I take advantage of the opportunity. On a walk last week I found a particularly short magnolia tree offering me the option of peeling back and looking inside its blossoms, where I found this very young seed pod.
I took this shot with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 with a 3-D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing.
Regards,
Barry Rothstein
