Yellow Ice Plant Flower
Hello Friends,
It was a chilly wind swept late afternoon three weeks ago when we dropped by Doran Beach in Bodega Bay. Bodega Bay is north of San Francisco, and is known among other things for being the location of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" thriller.
One often finds "ice plant" ground cover at California beaches that serves to keep sand from blowing away or being entirely swept into the ocean. Usually they're a hot pink or yellow. Typically overlooked, they make very nice subjects for 3-D photography. I shot this with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3-D lens, and frame sides for phantogram processing.
Best regards,
Barry Rothstein
