Mushroom Phantogram from Kyoto
Hi All,
After the International Stereoscopic Union's 2015 Congress in Busan a few weeks ago, 12 attendees from several countries joined into a tour led by by multi-award winning stereographer Takashi Sekitani of his native country, Japan. Betsy and I were indeed honored and thrilled to be part of it.
One day in Kyoto we had an informal phantogram workshop when I spotted these and other species of mushrooms. I shot with my Fuji W3 and Cyclopital macro attachment, but the image you see here was shot by David Kesner with his Panasonic Lumix GX7 and stereo lens. We shot with frame sides for phantogram processing. Both the Fuji/Cyclopital and Lumix are outstanding macro approaches, but I'm impressed with the clarity and resolution in the Lumix. I just ordered one.
Ladies, gentlemen and kids who I photographed at the San Diego Maker Faire. Images of you can be found at http://www.3ddigitalphoto.com/showevent.asp?show=SDMF.
