Maritime pine ... and Maker Faire LA Coming Next Saturday
Hello Friends,
I'm not sure, but Plant Net tells me that this is a cone / seed pod of Pinus Pinaster Aiton, common name Maritime pine. I found it on a neighborhood walk recently. I shot this with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3D lens and frame sides for phantogram processing.
ALERT: Fun time approaching. My favorite exhibit opportunities the past several years have been at Maker Faires. I'm happy to announte that the LA Maker Faire hosted by City of STEM is happening on Saturday April 1 from 9am to 5pm at the Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. It's very close to the Metro Gold Line Chinatown Station. With over 200 exhibits there'll be tons of hands-on activities. The Los Angeles 3D community will be there in force with an exhibit from the LA3DClub, 3D Space, and 3dDigitalPhoto.com (me). Info at https://losangeles.makerfaire.com/about/.
Regards,
Barry Rothstein
