Barkley
Say hi to Barkley, a spry 9-year-old golden retreiver and regular at afternoon gatherings at a park near our house. Typically an hour before sunset you'll find somewhere between 8-12 dogs running around and having fun, and a similar number of humans resonably distanced and wearing masks. I was specifically warned not to try to take the ball out of Barkley's mouth. I shot this with a Fuji W3 and approximated it into a phantogram using "environmental cues," in this case blades of grass.
After the initial surge order for Macrophant 3D have slowed a bit, not surprising for post Christmas time. Jim McManus and I and those who've seen the book strongly suggest you will enjoy it too. Check out reviews at http://macrophant3d.com/reviews.asp.
At http://macrophant3d.com/default.asp you'll find lots of info about the book. If ordering online use Promo Code 25 and you'll get one delivered for just $25 (USA only).
I don't feel up to the task of ranting forcefully about the happenings this week. We all saw it for ourselves. I was thrilled to see Georgia elect democrats to turn the senate, and horrified but not surprised to watch the attempted coup unfold at the Capital building.
I tried to reach out via email to a bro-in-law, a long time Trump supporter, to see if anything had changed his mind about things, but it was in vain. He answered back about a rigged and stolen election and characterized the armed mob attacking as a "sit-in". What can we do? We're living in a country of alternate truths and narratives. Five dead, several injured, and mob talk of finding and lynching elected officials isn't what I'd call a sit-in.
My "Image-of-the-Week" for 12-02-2017 was titled "Waiting for the ComeTrumpance." In it I commented:
"So here I sit, impatiently waiting. Waiting for our political leaders to recognize the danger of acquiescing to this madman. Waiting for them to stand up for the American values many of us so value. Waiting for the nightmare that has come to redefine our national identity to somehow find its path back home. Waiting for the comeuppance this man and his administration so richly deserve."
And so I ask now, are we there yet?
