Bearded Dragons (and a rant)

Hi All,

I shot these bearded dragons at a reptile store in Long Beach for "Eye-Popping 3-D Bugs" with Chronicle Books. They're great for 3-D in that you can shot them once, slide over, and shoot them again, and they won't have moved a hairs breath. Their colors are also excellent for anaglyph. This was shot with a pair of Sony V3s and a Lanc Shepherd to synchronize them and frame sides for phantogram processing.

FYI, today (Saturday December 1) is Maker Faire at the Downtown Los Angeles Library. Come by and become the subject of a phantogram head shot.

As for today's rant ... We are Americans. We were brought up to believe that was something special. Maybe it was and maybe it still is. So as Americans, what do we stand for? Under our current administration ...

We are kidnappers and jailors. We take children from their parents at the border and imprison them in "temporary holding facilities" without love or schools, no real and little phone access to their parents. How well do you suppose are we vetting the keepers of these places?

We are murderers. We condone and cover up the murder of a resident journalist, and provide ongoing military aid in a war that's causing hundreds of thousands to starve to death.

We are disloyal to our allies, and stand instead with dictators and autocrats, and leave unchallenged their power grabs against their own people and others. We value money and power above all.

We are mean spirited toward the plights of anyone who is not us. We contrive ways to prevent our poorest citizens from access to healthcare. We contrive laws and rules to prevent our citizens from voting, and reward the architects of these actions with high office.

We are poor stewards of our planet, prefering corporate profit over the viability of our biosphere.

This and so much more. So who are we? What have we become? This is now the American way for all the world to witness.
