Seed Pod
Hi All,
These seed pods were shot as a verically oriented phantogram. Look at it straight on or better yet a little above eye level. They were in Dave Rosenberg's garden in the Phoenix area. Dave is an outstanding photographer, although just of "flatties" (2-D). Many of his animal shots are stunning. One of these days I'll break tradition and show one of his 2-D images if he'll let me.
I'm not sure what type of seed this is, but Dave will let me know. The first one to email and match Dave's answer will get a free book of Pop-Up 3D in the mail.
Well known stereographer and 3-D historian Ray Zone at times has spoken of the 'oppression of the flat' in regard to the scarce number of art jurists and gallery curators who will to give consideration to stereo photography. Many 3-D image makers have had that experience. As such occasionally I'll try to show some fairly simple shots both in 3-D and 2-D. You be the judge as to whether the beauty of the image and richness of information is enhanced in 3-D (although I'm probably just preaching to the choir).
I invite you to print it so you can see it properly. Enjoy!
I send out a weekly email of these. If you'd like to be included, please go to the contact page and send me an email.
