An Opium Poppy in 3 Stages
I found these poppies in a garden a few months ago, and was immediately captivated by their amazing shapes and fabulous beauty. I was later was informed by a knowledgable plant guy that these are the type of poppies used to produce opium. I present them in reverse order, the top images how they look mature, the bottom before the flower opens and the middle in between.
Next weekend is Labor Day weekend, and I was invited to exhibit and participate in Long Beach Comicon at the Long Beach Convention Center. I'll have a nice 10' x 20' space in the Space Expo section, enough space to show some images and shoot 3-D full body and head shots of interested participants. Should be fun, so if you'll be at Comicon next weekend please look for my space there.
