Anaglyph with Red
This is a shot by Jim McManus from in front of his house, using my Panasonic Lumix GX7 and frame sides for phantogram processing. Admittedly not an an award winning shot, but we thought it would be a good illustration of Jim's techniques to make viewable anaglyphs even from an image that has a lot of red in it. Normally I wouldn't have considered making an anaglpyh of an stereo pair with so much red.
Guess what? We have books! I received my first partial on the 1500 we're printing of Macrophant 3D on Friday, so if you've already ordered one, you should have gotten notice and tracking information emailed to you. They'll be dropped off tomorrow (Monday) and hopefully won't take too long to get to you, although have patience, the USPS is pretty jammed up right now. If yours was an order to be shipped outside the USA, I'm mailing those on Tuesday.
If you want to learn more about the book or order one now that we can actually ship them, check out http://macrophant3d.com/ or just reply to this email and let me know what you want. If ordering online use Promo Code 25 and you can have one delivered to you via USPS Media Mail for just $25. With all due modesty it's a pretty cool book.
This week in the news was more or less just as disheartening as any other week of late, perhaps even more so. Covid infections, hospitalizations and deaths are all at record levels, we found our government institutions computer systems hacked by the Russians, and republicans in congress continue to pretend nothing is wrong. We'll need to hold our collective breaths for another month.
Keep safe,
Barry Rothstein
I send out a weekly email of these. If you'd like to be included, please go to the contact page and send me an email.
