Thimbleberry
Hello Friends,
According to Google Lens this is a thimbleberry, and according to wikipedia ... "Rubus parviflorus, the fruit of which is commonly called the thimbleberry or redcap, is a species of Rubus with large hairy leaves and no thorns. The species is native to northern temperate regions of North America." I took this shot in Seattle last spring with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing.
So another week of horrors befell us from the new Trump administration. We're still waiting to see if any senators have the guts to defy Trump, but it's not looking good. It'll be interesting to see what happens regarding all the Inspectors General illegally fired this week as well as senior Justice Deptartment attorneys they're trying to fire for their audacity of working on January 6 prosecutions.
In the past couple of days we've seen two awful airplane crashes. As could be expected our dear president chimed in, in this case blaming DEI initiatives for the first crash. Damn all those DEI initiatives, we'll be lucky to survive them, right?
The main source of good news is that we're seeing some reversals of clearly bad policy on the basis of push-backs as people learn what these policies do and who they hurt. Pushing back against illegal and immoral policies is the one thing we all can do, and I'd encourage you to contact your representatives to let them know what you think.
Regards,
Barry Rothstein
