Two Sides of the Same Leaf
Hello Friends,
Here's a couple more leaf shots, from the same (I believe) maple tree that I showed two weeks ago. In this case I brought a leaf home and photographed it on both sides with a wooden cutting board as backdrop. I liked the 3-D shape and intricate detail available in these images. They were shot with a Fuji W3 using frame sides for phantogram processing.
It's been an interesting week marked by my Dodgers clinching a title in New York on Wednesday. It's such a satisfying rarity to follow a team and see them through to a happy conclusion.
Today is Saturday. Tomorrow will mark the change of daylight savings time.
And Tuesday and the days that follow will tell us what kind of country we will live in. It's scary, but I'm hopeful that enough people have had enough of Trump and his MAGA cult to vote him and them out. Hopeful but not entirely confident. Trump is certain to declare himself the winner on Tuesday night regardless of how election tallies come in, and election related violence seems very likely.
Wishing us all well in the upcoming week and the future it foretells,
Barry Rothstein
I send out a weekly email of these. If you'd like to be included, please go to the contact page and send me an email.
