Winnie and a rant
Hello Friends,
Say hi to Winnie, a mini schnauzer. Our house has a reputation among neighborhood dogs for being a good source for treats. When Winnie sees me she's vocal about what she wants. She's actually much greyer than you'll see in these images. I took this shot with a Fuji W3 in late afternoon sunshine, the sun at a low angle, auto-adjusted it in StereoPhoto Maker, and turned it into a phantogram in Photoshop.
So what to say about the upcoming election? I'm frustrated. It's all been said.
This is a contest for the most powerful job in the world between
A vibrant, energetic woman who's spent much of her youth and all her adult life in extraordinary public service,
who can be counted on to protect our Constitution,
prioritize improving the lives of working people,
and restore women's rights.
and
A rambling old man, a sexual assaulter of many women, a felon convicted of business fraud,
an ex-President who in his first term was historically inept and corrupt,
who when he lost his bid for reelection, fomented a violent revolt to overturn the election,
who can be counted on to ignore our Constitution, help wealthy people become wealthier,
and wield unchecked power over the wheels of government to squash his enemies.
Tough choice, right, but strangely it is for so many people. How is it possible?
Do you remember how you felt on Wednesday November 9, 2016, when you woke up to learn Trump would be our next president?
Are you ready to wake up on Wednesday November 6 2025 to face another Trump presidency?
Now is time to speak what you believe, and make a difference if you can.
If not now, then when?
Best regards,
Barry Rothstein
